I (Stef) have taken and planned dozens of road trips in various countries around the world, by myself and with others, including the United States, Canada, Scotland, England, and Wales. I’ve also traveled to over a dozen more and have driven in a significant number of them.

I know how to find the best attractions, restaurants, and routes to take. I know how to plan for the correct amount of drive time without getting burnt out and where to find hotels to stay in within budget. I also really enjoy helping others figure out logistics for their own road trips, and I’m often asked by others to help them plan their vacations.

What is a Personal Travel Planner?

So, what exactly IS a Personal Travel Planner?

A Personal Travel Planner is similar to a travel agent but with one main difference – I do not book any of your hotels, tours, flights, or car rentals for you.

This also keeps your costs down because you won’t pay a booking fee with me like you would a travel agent, and you won’t be paying an inflated price on the hotels, flights, car rental, etc. because you are booking them directly yourself.

What I do is plan your perfect vacation for you. We chat about what you are looking for, and then I do all the research, organizing, and planning to get your the best deals that fit your budget.

You’ll then get a personalized trip built just for you and your interests. All you have to do once you receive the itinerary is click on the links I provide you to complete your bookings, follow the step-by-step route I create, and you’re on your way to a remarkable adventure!

What do you provide as a Personal Travel Planner?

As your Personal Travel Planner, I’ll do the hard, time-consuming stuff for you. I’ll do the research, find the best deals on flights, car rentals, and accommodations that fit your needs and budget, and help you make a list of the things that are worth seeing along the way.

I’ll find out when your must-see attractions are open, gather some top restaurant choices for you, and help you plan your driving route so you can see what you want but not get too burnt out because you spent more time in the car than enjoying your journey.

I’ll also provide any relevant tips and tricks about your destinations and make sure you feel prepared for your road trip.

I also realize that when it comes to what you need from me, there is no one-size-fits-all. You may just want help planning the route and some general ideas on attractions, or you may want absolutely everything done for you, down to the hotels, the car rental, and the airport shuttle.

I offer three packages to choose from based on what you want me to help you with. When you fill out my Personal Travel Planning questionnaire and we discuss your needs and wants, we’ll decide what package suits you best and proceed from there.

What is included in the itinerary?

Depending on the package you select, your itinerary will cover a variety of detailed information.

Your itinerary could include:

• Flight recommendations with links to book
• A detailed daily itinerary with Google Maps link and step-by-step instructions
• A list of things to see and do every day with links to book tickets
• Restaurant recommendations
• Accommodation recommendations with links to book
• Rental car recommendation with link to book
• Other transportation information, such as shuttles, ferries, or buses with links to book
• Customized tips based on your destination, such as currency, safety, adaptors, etc.

How does the Personal Travel Planner services work?

Here is the step-by-step process for my Personal Travel Planner services.

1. Fill out the Inquiry Form below and give me some basic information about where you want to go and when you are planning your trip.
2. Within 48 hours, I will email you back with the package options and the link to the Personal Travel Planner questionnaire. This questionnaire will give me all the details I need to start planning your trip. Fill out the questionnaire to the best of your ability as soon as you are able.
3. Once the questionnaire is complete, we will schedule an optional 30-minute Zoom video or phone call to further discuss your trip and answer any additional questions you may have. We will also choose the package that works best for you. If you do not wish to have the call, we can discuss any follow-up questions via email.
4. I will send a link via Paypal for payment of the services.
5. Once payment has been received, I will start working on your itinerary. The itinerary will be completed within 2 weeks of payment unless otherwise discussed and delivered via email as a PDF.
6. Every client gets one free revision of the itinerary in case there is something you would like changed or tweaked. This must be requested within one week of initial itinerary delivery. Any additional revisions may cost extra.
7. Book any flights, hotels, car rentals, and attraction tickets with the provided links in the itinerary.
8. Take your road trip and have an amazing time!

In what countries do you plan itineraries?

As of right now, I plan itineraries in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

While I have been to other countries, I feel that my expertise lies in these regions, and I want to make sure I can give the best itinerary possible for my clients.

If you’d like me to plan a trip somewhere else, we can discuss it, but know that if I feel I can’t do your trip justice, I won’t plan it. I want to do the best job I can, and if I have any doubts, I don’t want to do you a disservice.
