7 days in glacier, yellowstone, and grand teton national parks

Open Road Odysseys

Day 1 GLACIER NP

With only one day in Glacier, you should spend most of the day on Going-to-the-Sun Road. Pick one hike (I recommend Avalanche Lake) and spend the evening on McDonald Lake.

Day 2 DRIVE FROM GLACIER TO YELLOWSTONE

Get an early start and make the drive from Glacier to Yellowstone. It's about a 7 hour drive, but if you want to explore anything, check out Bozeman or Virginia City.

Day 3 YELLOWSTONE Upper Section

Head to Lamar Valley to spot wildlife. Take a hike to Trout Lake. Marvel at Tower Fall. Take some epic photos at Mammoth Hot Springs.

Day 4 YELLOWSTONE Geysers & Waterfalls

Visit the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and see Upper and Lower Falls. Watch for animals in Hayden Valley. Visit Norris Geyser Basin.

Day 5 YELLOWSTONE The Famous Attractions

Today you'll see the most popular Yellowstone attractions. Gape at the Grand Prismatic Spring. Take a hike to Fairy Falls. Wait in anticipation for the eruption of Old Faithful. Visit the Morning Glory Pools.

Day 6 GRAND TETON NP Main Sights

Drive Grand Teton Road and see the most popular sights, including Mormon Row, Oxbow Bend, Jackson Lake, and Signal Mountain. Spend the evening in Jackson and grab some dinner.

Pick a hike or two and spend some time enjoying the beauty of Grand Teton. A great choice is Jenny Lake Trail to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point.
